When Mecklenburg Community Church was started, the front-page headline on the Charlotte Observer was "Brand New Way of Worship Comes to the Carolinas." Most of us long for a life directed by a mission. If only we had special orders, a divine commission, a unique task, a clear calling, our lives would become filled with purpose and meaning. The first three biographies of Jesus in the Bible, named after the three men who wrote them (Matthew, Mark and Luke) give us the life and teaching of Jesus.
But there was a fourth account, radically different than the other three, written by the last surviving disciple. It is the final gospel in the New Testament, also known by the name of the author, the gospel of John.
And ninety percent of what it holds about the life and teaching of Jesus is not found in any other account.

At first glance, the plot isn’t anything that stands out above the normal mystery fare: The murder of a curator at the Louvre in Paris leads to a trail of clues found in the work of Leonardo da Vinci and to the discovery of a centuries old secret society.
